Warehouse Specialist

Target start date: Immediately. Relocation provided.

Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.

We strive for excellence in all we do, solving some of the hardest problems in robotics with the world’s most talented individuals. Every part of our robots is designed and produced in-house—from motor coils to AI—reflecting our vertically integrated approach. At 1X, you’ll own real projects, be recognized for your achievements, and rewarded based on merit.

We believe the best work is done when collaborating and therefore require in-person presence in our office locations.

As we scale from research and development to full-scale manufacturing, we are looking for a Warehouse Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, as well as picking and organizing items according to manufacturing orders. You will collaborate closely with other warehouse team members, the production and supply chain teams to ensure efficient operations and timely fulfillment of orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, with hands-on experience in inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics. We are looking for individuals with a proactive, "get-things-done" attitude who excel in both day-to-day practical tasks and strategic planning to optimize warehouse processes.

Why this job is exciting

  • Dynamic Work: Every day will be different! You will play a key role in receiving and processing materials, picking and organizing components for manufacturing, and ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly.
  • Hands-On Experience: You will get hands-on experience with innovative robotics technology and contribute to the production of humanoid robots that are changing the industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including production, engineering, and logistics, giving you a comprehensive understanding of our processes.
  • Growth Opportunities: As our company grows, you’ll have the chance to develop your skills and take on new responsibilities within the warehouse and beyond.

Within one month, you will…

  • Become familiar with our warehouse operations, inventory systems, and robotics components.
  • Successfully receive and process incoming stock, ensuring all materials are accounted for and stored correctly.
  • Learn to pick and organize parts according to manufacturing orders, supporting production timelines.
  • Begin collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand how your role impacts the overall success of our operations.

Within three months, you will…

  • Take ownership of inventory management, proactively identifying areas for improvement in stock organization and tracking.
  • Streamline the picking and packing process to ensure efficient order fulfillment and on-time delivery to production.
  • Assist in implementing warehouse best practices to optimize space, workflow, and overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions on how to further scale warehouse operations as the company grows.

Within one year, you will…

  • Play a key role in scaling our warehouse operations to meet the demands of increased production and product development.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to improve warehouse processes, from inventory management to logistics, ensuring we stay ahead of our rapid growth.
  • Have a deep understanding of the entire supply chain, contributing ideas to optimize the flow of materials from suppliers to production.
  • Be a trusted team member, helping to train and onboard new warehouse staff as our team continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and Process Incoming Stock: Unload and check incoming shipments for accuracy, ensuring materials match packing lists (description, engraving, quantity, etc.) and reporting discrepancies.
  • Conduct Minimal Checks: Perform integrity checks on goods and transport to ensure all items are in good condition and undamaged during transit.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and store stock in designated locations, keeping the warehouse tidy and ensuring accurate inventory tracking in our ERP system (Odoo)
  • Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately pick items according to manufacturing orders and prepare them for production or shipment.
  • Maintain Warehouse Documentation: Ensure all inventory records, packing lists, and shipping documents are up-to-date and properly filed.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and timely operations.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Assist in Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of warehouse processes and participate in efforts to improve efficiency and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform minimal checks on incoming goods and transport, ensuring all items match packing lists (description, engraving, quantity, etc.) and reporting discrepancies
  • Decent PC Skills: Proficiency in basic computer tasks and the ability to quickly learn and navigate ERP systems
  • Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injected plastic parts, CNC machined parts) and the ability to grasp how and where these components will be used
  • B Driving License: Valid driver's license for operating vehicles as needed
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with a focus on space management to ensure efficient unpacking, shelving, and picking processes
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive attitude in identifying and solving issues, rather than creating them
  • Work Ethic: Hardworking and reliable, with the ability to handle physical tasks and remain focused during busy periods
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments

It will be nice if you had:

  • T1 Forklift License: Certification to operate forklifts in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of the Odoo ERP system: Previous experience using the same ERP system that we are using would be an asset

We seek the world's most talented individuals with a passion for inventing and building a more prosperous future. At 1X you'll get to own real projects and be rewarded for your achievements and output. We hire, recognize and reward based on merit.
